До Міжнародного Дня толерантності (16.11) в школі серед 1-11 класів була проведена акція "Спілкуємося та діємо". 1-4 класи писали лист другу по Полтавській області, 5-7 по Україні, старшокласники писали лист за кордон. Такий захід сприяє розвитку та вихованню взаєморозуміння, терпимості, дружніх стосунків, милосердя, поваги до прав інших.

Subject: The Open World**offer of friendship
Hello,
We are participating in a Ukrainian project called "The Open World”. And as part of this project we are looking for foreign connections. So, we are writing to you in order to make friends and are offering our friendship. We are Ukrainian schoolchildren. We live in one of the most picturesque places in Ukraine called Poltava. We are the students of the 8th form of the Tereshky secondary school. We have recently studied a topic on the English system of education. We learnt a lot of new and interesting things about your schooling and decided to get in touch with one of English schools in order to learn even more from you. The most interesting thing about your system of education is the fact that you have an opportunity to choose optional subjects based on your interests, aptitude and skills. This is very different to our system of education where we are expected to do over 20 subjects and all of them are mandatory. Our school is mixed and there are up to 400 schoolchildren. We have many interesting sports and musical events. For example, we have recently had a teachers’ contest for the title of "the teacher of the year” in the following subjects: handy craft and physical training. We also took an active part in this contest which was real fun. Our form consists of 27 schoolchildren: 15 boys and 12 girls. We all have different interests. Some of us do sports, others play musical instruments, learn to dance or sing in choirs. Our form specialise in eco projects. We are responsible for making bird houses, saving rare plants and flowers. We protect our environment, keep our forest clean and take part in ecological work. We are very keen to make friends with you and to exchange further emails. Please, email us if you are interested in our lifestyle and if you have any questions.
